Just curious, I was looking to order an Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and it had a choice of Chrome or Natural.
Obviously I know what chrome is, but what about Natural? And how much actually shows, just the edge of the backing plate?
I was just curious as I realize I need to either make or buy a cover for it.
Is the Natural more of a "brushed" stainless? or something entirely different?
If you have or want a good amount of chrome on your bike, get the chrome kit.The natural would probably look better on a blacked out bobber or something. Not much shows, but what shows - SHOWS. Mine is the chrome kit, here's a pic or two.
Yea, I guess the natural is more like a brushed nickel....IMO, I didn't like it. I went the chrome route also. If you plan on running an exposed filter, you will see the backing plate some.
Below is a pic of a used bike for sale at a local dealership....it has thebacking platewith the natural finish....
But what color is the natural, I've got the white motor, and only a little chrome, I'm trying to stick with the brushed look, but don't want black or dark color.
One day I'll learn how to shrink my pictures to fit on this site, finally got a digital camera, but have to learn how to use it.

OK, thanks, so it is darker, not like the white motor.
Maybe Big Sucker isn't the way I should go, but then again, I'd rather go chrome than natural in this case.
Thanks, I'll look at alternatives in the meantime now.

Travlin, If it's the brushed look you want stick with the natural. It looks like cast aluminum. Not a lot of bling but a natural cast aluminum look.
