i don't know the details on this event but i've often thought about it and i think he had a brainfart and meant to just slow down but instead grabbed a handful of front brake like he was performing a stoppie and the bike bucked him out.
edit- i think those trick bikes have an extra front brake lever under the clutch lever too now so i think you are right.
pretty hilarious but i get a ton of PMs from peeps here telling me how much they hate it/me for displaying it, lol. get a few saying it's funny too though..
Sorry guys for ranting here. It's raining and I'm bored and can't go ride.
I was reading another thread and someone brought up a goodpoint, or at least I thought so. Why do many of us work so hard at making our bikes "our own" and somewhat unique and different, yet, when someone here asks a question about what to buy for this or how to setup that, we seemed to be so inclined to push them to do the same thing we did or buy the same parts we did? Don't get me wrong, I've done my share of it but I'm now asking myself why. Someone asks what type of(insert aftermarket part or addon here)are the best, and it seems every response goes like this: "i have part 'X' and it is great and you should get the same". Part 'X' could be slipons, pipes, air cleaners, seat, handlebars, or even God forbid - an EFI tuner or fuel manager, and the list goes on and on. Why do we make "it" our own and then try to make "it" everyone else's as well?
Talk about a waste of space and time - this thread is a good example I guess. Oh well...
Because we all want to be individuals just like everyone else!
I don't think people are trying to push their mods onto others, it's just what they have experience with. I know that I don't have the cash to try several options for any particualr mod so when I do one it is most how it will stay. That being the case if I have performed a mod and some asked about it they will get one opinion from me.
Hmmr, I don't mind your signature at all, I just wish I could get past it with out watching cycle 10-20 times.

Not all are, but some do seem to make an effort to be persuasive instead of just giving the feedback requested. Sometimes it's necessary to steer the person in a right direction if you see they are about to make a mistake. Like thinking inserting a K&N filter into a stock air box makes it a stage 1 or something similar. It's fair enough to simply state, this is what I did and these are your other options, if any exist, and leave it at that.
I built mine from scratch back in '95. Would have been nice to get the type of input as the forum provides. Did it on my own, but it turned out OK. Thanks to a left turning 19 yr oldgirl, I have the opportunity to do it all over again. I take the advice, do a little research and decide if it applies to my needs.
No such thing as bad advice, just bad judgement on the advicee's part.

This forum is all about advice. It's been the best tool in the box for me over the past 5 months or so. And I try to give back with advice. But, advice is not what I'm talking about here. It's about the "the right way is MY way" approach to some of the advice that is given. Actually, it's not just that so much as I was just pondering why we all work so hard at making our bikes "ours" and then turn around and tell others to do it the same way.
