I have the L Bikers Friend on my WG. I don't take it off all summer and it works great. Exactly as advertised.
I can put a full faced helmet and jacket in there no problem.
I have one large Bikers Friend bag and one small. I do not have saddle bags at this time. (will add them soon, with quick detach brackets) I have a 2006 Wide Glide, Sidekick seat, short sissy bar, and the rack that hugs the fender. I generally just use the small bag around town and it carries well on the rack. Storage is limited with the small bag but is sufficient for local rides. If I am going for a day or more and will cover longer distances then the large bag rides on the seat in front of the sissy bar. It is stiff enough to act as a back rest and rides well. The quality of the materials is very good and construction is first rate. If you later add saddle bags you can still use the roll type bags and just use them as extra storage. My bike has a pretty narrow look to it that I kind of like. The roll type bags help maintain that narrow look. I may add an XL large bag later just to increase the storage on long trips and just leave the small bag at home. Some of the roll bags on the market are soft and pliable where the BF bags are pretty ridged. It really just depends on what you are looking for in a bag.
