Pretty sure the Progressive standard duty 11" (and maybe taller sizes) come in black as that is what I first ordered but returned. Check their website for part numbers and application.

Thanks for the reply. Is the 11 inches going to be too short and cause any issues in the rear fender? Also what setting did you put them on or did you leave them on the soft setting from the factory? Thanks again.

Yes , with 11 inch 412's apowerlift is a struggle , it will go under but it needs two of you to do it , one sitting on the bike tilting it from left to right as you push the jack under.

Ihave the 11" Progressive 412 on my 07 StreetBob. I am 205lbs. and ride two up with no problem with the shocks on the second preload.
Of course I have trouble getting my Craftsman red jack undr my scoot. I usually roll the back tire onto a patio block to get the jack under the bike.

Hope this helps.

Hughey - I've had no problems and have left them on the softest (#1 ?) setting right out of the box - had them for almost 1000 miles now and no rubbing, bottoming, etc issues. Also wanted the HDs in case I decide some day to go 2 up and then can crank up the settings if needed - suppose I could've gotten away with the standard duties, but just didn't want to have to worry or change 'em out later - prefer to do mods once if at all possible - lazy cheap SOB that I am!

Actually, I personally don't mind the extra firmness at all - just learned to avoid the big bumps and pot holes on the secondary roads - out on the hiways I don't notice any difference at all. Have always put heavy duty suspensions/shocks on all my vehicles - prefer improved handling and feeling planted and in control on the curvies to a cushy, comfy ride. Most of my riding is cruising on decent secondary, hill and dale back roads within a few hundred miles of home and seldom touring long distances out on the interstates. But that's just me, others may differ!

I'm looking to lower. Is an inch to much or should I only go a half inch?
Any example out there?
Thanks
Eleven inch heavy duties set on the lightest setting. No issues.

Good Luck

Tom

Great trampsinger - I'm sure you'll like 'em - just watch out for the pot holes and take it easy over the RR crossings!!!!!!!!

Good Luck and ride safe!
