Thanks for the great explanation. Were you able to get your complete front end package off ebay by chance or did you buy a package that's pretty much available? I really like the look of your bike. We're basically dealing with identical starting points. Thanks again. I'll try to search using your username.
I have to respectfully disagree with Traveler about adding 3 degrees being a "disaster". That's a bit strong. I have done it myself with no problems at all in handling. There are alot of guys on this forum who have added up to 6 degree trees with no problem. Although I think that's pushing it a bit. It is not recommended to do it but there are alot of bikes out there doing just fine with 3 degree trees added. Including an old sporty that I did and sold to a friend. Will be adding 3 degree trees on my 06 Sporty this year. Traveler, if you are reading this, here is some info for you and anyone else interested. There is an old biker/builder in Beaumont, Tx. that makes a frame/neck kit that is a do it yourself kind of thing. His name is Sonny Keeton and he's been building bikes for over 40 years. His stuff has been on every magazine cover there is for decades. The walls of his shop are like a museum of custom bike history. He's also one of the best pen stripers on the planet. You wouldn't believe it if you saw it. Anyway he makes the parts that allows you to cut your frame and install different neck, stretched down tubes, and backbone. Of course you need to have some shop abilities.

I have the 18 degree AME front end on my Dyna for a 47 degree total and love the look and ride.
I'm not sure I'm understanding. Accutronix sells 3 degree rake triple trees. I have no idea what a stock rake is but what I'm trying to see is what the bike would look like if I put the 3 degree triple trees from Accutronix on. Did I askt the right question in the original post?
Wish I could help with a picture - and yes you did ask a valid question - you just wanted a picture - and instead you got a lecture.
When I said "disaster", I was thinking in my mind of 7 degree trees. Going off the rake and trail calculator, it seems like you wouldn't have enough trail, but you seem to be proof positive that it's just fine. All I know is that I have 34 degrees total, and wish I had a few more degrees.

Lecture? Funny....I thought I was being nice explaining everything in detail, and that the SEARCH function is a truly marvelous thing![&:]
