I fall into the same camp as many here..... Price difference.
I love the black engine, but I don't care for the riser mounted dummy lights. To me, I couldn't justify the extra price of a Low Rider when the Street Bob was just as attractive (to me) for a lot less. I figured I could use the money I saved to hop up my Street Bob.
I'm thinking about getting a Low Rider football to put on my Street Bob........Is that cheating?
I've always liked the LR. It just seemed to "fit me" right. I had an '05 Sportster and wanted a heavier bike. The Dyna family was my choice because the bike can be used around town as well as for highway touring. When I visited my dealer last November to kick tires etc., he had an '08 Super Glide Custom on the floor with 99 miles on it. An older guy bought it and was afraid of it. He had also lowered it with new shocks. In addition, it had a two tone paint job that is very sharp (Pacific Blue Pearl and Vivid Black). I saved about $1500 over a new one and about $3500 over a new LR. That was too much of a gap not to go with the Custom. It's a great bike and I used the extra $$$'s for accessories. Bring on Spring.

Just came back from a ride Jake. You will be home soon. Stay safe and we love those Low's. I noticed you live in my old stomping grounds. God I miss those roads in New England.
