jakeiniraq: The T-Sports were only made from 01-03 and I've heard there was a total build of about 4500. Only ever seen one other...
Here's pictures of the bike as I bought it and 3 years and many $$$ later:

I'm enjoying reading everyone's take on the Lowriders. I've been "bikeless" for nearly 9 yrs. and never realized how bad I missed it until last summer. I've spent all winter researching my options, and must say there are plenty. Midlife crisis struck at one point in early January and I even thought that this 49 yr. old guy on one of those "stupid fast" Hayabusa's would be a lot of laughs for screwing with the "kids" that work for me. Well...after realizing that I'd have to dent the tank to give my belly room to rub against (LMAO) that wasn't for me. So back to the Harley website I returned. Like a few have mentioned , the tourers/baggersaren't for all of us. Sure the ride is good, but that's not the kind of riding most of us do. I want a bike thats comfortable, but still want good cornering, and handling. If I need a bagger, then I'm taking the car to haul all that crap. lol.(Sorry ) So it came down to 3...105th Anniversary Lowrider, the Fatboy, or a V-Rod. On 01/11/2008 I plunked down the downpayment. I'm happy to say that I now own #1113 of only 2000 105th Anniversary Lowriders made. It was finally delivered today and although the ground is snow covered , I'm looking forward to warm weather again for the first time in a few years. Thanks for helping me decide everyone!

Hold the phone, I'm that guy,LOL. I still don't know one Harley from the next. I just bought my first Harley at the first of this month. It's a 1998 Lowrider with Screaming Eagle drag pipes and a modest 23,000 miles on it. There are only a few styles of Harley's that I like and this was one of them. It also helped that itfit my price range. Been diggin it so far and my commute to and from work is a heck of a lot better. The tempature has been right at freezing 5 or 6 times when I had to leave for work but I rode it anyway (45 miles round trip). I have been learning a lot the last few days since I joined this site so my thanks to everyone's posts and helpful insights. As soon as I get some pics of my Lowrider, I will get them posted. On second thought, maybe I'm not that guy cuz I do know what aSportster is, LOL.

Well, I don't post often, but I'll throw in my few cents.

I came off of sport bikes and big trailies. Always metric or European to boot. I never could comprehend the whole cruiser thing. I tried once on a v-star, didn't work for me.

So fast forward to this last summer, I've got the new bike hard on...............AGAIN. I seem to go thru this anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the bike. Anyway, something was drawing me back to a cruiser. But, I've got a couple stipulations. Mid to rear pegs, and fairly flat bars. I like the dirt bike position for my carpal tunnel and mid pegs for my back.

So I'mtest riding a L, ehh, so so. Next Vrod, and it BEGS to have it's neck run, nice ride, but I'm looking to slow down a bit.One more ride on the L with wifey along this time. Same route as the previous 2 times. I come back grinning fromear to ear and proclaim"THAT'S THE ONEI WANT!!" I couldn't believe it, I finally got it!! What a relaxing ride!!! WOW!!!What a revelation and wonderful 3K miles I've had on my L!! If I'd have known7 or 8 years ago, what I know now? Ican guarantee, it would have been a different tune!!!!

The L will run with a few of the sport bike riders I know in the curves, and is just in general a blast to ride! Nothing hard core, but still a lot of fun!! Also, looks damn sweet with, to me,a good ratioof chrometo paintto aluminum.

I did find myself with a hard on for a street glide a couple months ago. Got a test ride on one and quickly dismissed that as a dumb idea. The L is just so much more fun to ride!!

Other than getting a long haul seat and maybe LED turn and brake lights, I can't think of too much more I really "need" to do. Just lovin' the ride!! Have fun, whatever you ride!!

Ahh..so you're "THAT guy"...
No, but I could have been. To me, though, walking up to someone and saying something like that when you don't know for sure is like walking up to a fat chick you don't knowand asking when she's due. There are some people stupid enough to do that but it's not something I would ever do. So, no, I was never "that guy".
What's wrong with asking questions like that?? That's how I met my first wife

Jake, I lied[8D]

More seriously........... I like the LowRiders and would have chosen it over the Street Bob, although I think the sticker$ is a little steep for what it is. They are probably the prettiest stock Dynas.
They are also somewhat unique in my opinion, because apparently fewer are produced.

I chose my SuperGlide in part because of the fuel tank layout, the silver engine/tranny and the lack of excessive chrome.
I also liked the speedo mounted on the bars, where I could see it.
I like mags vs spokes, and the one turn off for me on the LowRider is the black on the mags (minor thing).
They are a sweet bike.

I hope HD doesn't quit making the Lows, cause I like seeing them around.

Stay safe over there.............. Crappy ice and snow here, can't ride.

But when finished, my FXD will be an FXDLBC as it will have my favorite parts from all the bikes.
I'm gambling that it will all come together and look OK, time will tell...
Hope you post lots of pics on that conversion! I've been considering the same thing. Have access to a bob paint set, but haven't been able to talk myself into the pain yet. Looking forward to seeing how it works out for you!

BTW - My absolute favorite Dyna is every single one I see. They're all great, they all have their best attributes. I love 'em all chromed, and I love 'em blacked out basic. If I won the lottery, I'd be filling my garage with one of each like some crazy lady collecting cats.
