Streetbobrob- you can get your dash powder coated thats all mine is. I was lucky enough to buy one from a forum member already done so I just had to swap them out. I do have my stock one on ebay if you are interested and don't want any down time.
Cage996- I lowered my forks in the trees about an 1" for now. I have had the progressive 412 11" shocks in back for a while now and wanted to level it out. It was quick and easy to do. When I change my fork oil I'll drop in the progressive front kit instead but for now this will do. I have had no issues with bottoming out and since it is lowered the same front and back it handles like stock just with a lower center of gravity.
Hey thanks for the reply man, I've been thinking about lowering mine that way but wasnt sure how it would work out but like ya said its quick and easy so I think Im gonna give it a try.
Got the pipes installed last night and took it for a ride today. What a differance. These look so much better then what I had before. They are the Vance & Hines Black Sideshots. I also used the Fuel Pack. I know there is alot of opinions on it but I decided to use it and it worked great. I got the settings off of fuelpackfi.com and I have had no popping at all. It was a little tight to get in but the video on thier website was a big help.
I also installed a new dash. I bought it from JRK5892 and it is a Street Bob dash powdercoated gloss black. I think it looks alot better and matches the overall look that I have going.
Smooth setup, verycool,I got a set of the chrome sideshots coming on Thursday all setup for the install on friday....I'm just begging the shipping "gods" that there's no problems, delays, wrong set, etc. Keep your fingers crossed....
Is the gas capemblem covering up the window on your fuel gauge or do you have a different cap? I love those gas cap emblems and was thinking about getting them and cutting a little window in one of them to be able to see the gauge through it. Maybe even cut out the star. I don't know why they don't make one like that.
