Is the gas capemblem covering up the window on your fuel gauge or do you have a different cap? I love those gas cap emblems and was thinking about getting them and cutting a little window in one of them to be able to see the gauge through it. Maybe even cut out the star. I don't know why they don't make one like that.
I rely on my mileage instead of the gas guage but I attatched the cap on the guage with velcro just incase I want to look. All I have to do is pull it off for a peek and put it back on.

Yea I use the trip meter on my speedo to judge whenI need gas also. I just hate to cover up a gauge but the velcro doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Looks great! I know you bought the dash already powder coated. It looks smooth. Is it? If so do you know if the factory wrinkle finish just sands off? I'd like to loose the wrinkle flat finish on mine. I think it's awsome how there are so many Street Bobs out there and each can be made to look so individual. Great job.

The dash is completely smooth but honestly, I don't know how to smooth one out. But, a powder coat shop should be able to smooth it before the powdercoat.
