how far is it off? do you have a pic.
if the hole is just slightly off the mark I would say make the hole a little longer front to back.
whats the worst thats going to happen your seat falls off when you are on the highway? seriously thought unless you can pull the seat off its not going to come off while riding. But you dont want it moving around either, that woudl be a annoying.

Sounds like you got a seat for an older model Dyna. I wouldn't even bother with it and look around for another seat. Modifying your fender to make it fit just doesen't make much sense.

If it is a Corbin and for an 06 and up Dynait should have a Key/lockpin set up. If the seat doesnt have a lock on the side and come with latchpins and a crossbar then it is made for an older model and will not fit your bike.
