I was wiping the St. Bob down today getting it ready for some decent riding weather. I noticed that the top ofthe shock where the bolt goes into the fender strut had a crack about 1" long in the bolt housing. This is the chrome housing around the top shock bolt.
Anyone have a clue as to what would cause this? Shocks are set on 3, BTW.
Would anyone that has changed out their shocks have an extra housing laying around that you don't want? I'll pay for the shipping if you do.

take it back to the stealer... i had the same issue w/my stock ones...[actually just the right side]
they replaced it for nothing...
odd that it cracked and it's not a load bearing part....someone mustve had a 3 martini lunch @ the factory
I had the same problem as well as my friend down the street, both with bob's. It happens when the shock bolt is tightened and it just gets cranked against the shock...
