Default RE: 103" Upgrade ?

Here's the dyno from my HQ103" build...ran a few 2-up trips last summer, one was in 90+ degree heat thru Montana; no problems except a bit of kick back starting/stopping/starting in a hot customs lineup. Have put comp releases in over winter; that'll take care of it. The two-up passing performance is terrific; 100mph on an uphill grade passing a semi with two trailers...needed the Lyndal brakes more for pulling back in (they did great, too). Solo, the front wheel will float 6"-8" in second gear, then float up and settle down again in 3rd...most fun I've had with my clothes on. Oh yeah; riding with a 95" RK and an 88" WG, we're all within two-bits at fillup; just under 50mpg.

Check the torque at 2200rpm

I made the decison not to do the kit. For $2,000 there just isn't enough bang for the buck. I'll spend less and do chrome calipers instead.

Chrome calipers and brackets will really finish off your bike!
I'm planning on doing the same next winter.

Cheers... Ben.

Thanks, I agree. I can't really think of too much more that needs to be done. I'll look her over closely when I'm home in two weeks to see what small details I've missed. Pics soon to come!

Now that's what I call 'bang for the buck'. [&o] Chrome...... tsk, tsk, tsk....
