Was wondering is a 88 built up to a 95 a lot faster than a stage 1 96. If so by alot? Or is this question to vague with to many variables.

A good 95 build will get you over 100 hp & tq. I'm not sure a stage 1 96 will do that.

A good 95 build will walk all over a stage 1 96 or a SE 103 any day

Remember,not all 95's are the same.All depends on how it's built.....cams,pistons,compression,etc-.

What are the stock numbers for a 96?

A decently built 10.5:1 95" with headwork and good cams will thoroughly trounce a Stage 1 96". I have seen the 95's with 105hp and 110 tq when using a good aftermarket build.

Not quite sure what "faster" means. But IMHO, the built 88 to a 95 will kick azz over a factory 96 anyday. Better running, more power, run cooler.

A stage 1 96 will beat a stage 1 95. But not by much.
