Just sent my fender struts to Meclec in Fresno for some black chrome! As long as these turn out well, I will be sending all of my remaining chrome down there to get done in the BC. Can't wait to get these back. I think this is really going to finish the look of my bike.
That will look awsome. Post pictures and let us know what you think about the quality. I saw a bike at Sturgis last year with a lot of black chrome and it looked badazz. I inquired up here in Chicago about it and everyone tells me it's fragile and hard to care for, plus so far no one knows who actually does it.. Some suggest a powdercoating that is similar to black chrome. I think JRK5892 has done some to his bike. His bike looks pretty damn nice.
I have been debating on the BC for some time, as I have heard the same about its fragility. However, I only have about $600 worth of stuff to get done, so I am going to giver it a shot. Worst case is I may have to go back to a powddercoat down the road...
CHeck out my signals - they are black chrome. I liken it to a chrome gunmetal. I'll have to post a close-up of one of the signals. It's hard to describe without seeing it.
Nice looking bike. I was thinking of getting the same pipes if I get a bob this year. I am curious how close is your leg/foot to those pipes with mid-controls?
