I always install poly bushing when putting on either very high bars like apes or very wide bars like beaches. However, IMO, they do just the opposite of reducing vibes. The poly is harder than the stock rubber and doesn't soak up the vibes as well.
Good to know info,I just put 16s on mine with those bushings but have not gotten to ride yet.Damn snow!! They did seem to take the flex out of the bars......
I replaced my bars with 1.25" bars and switched to the poly's at the same time.. Apparently my rubber bushings were much more worn than I thought. With the new bars and bushings, I'm much more comfortable all arround, less flex and vibe. But, they are nearly solid.. I've got and had 18" apes, so there's a bit of bar to soak it up too..
The poly bushings actually give a little increase in vibes over the rubber bushings but give you a much more secure feel of the bike. I will never go back to the rubber.

Just installed mine. Did a quick run to test. More vibe at idle. Got smoother as I got up some speed. No flex, much more secure.
I plan to ride more over the next couple days. So I can give more feedback this weekend.
i thought they reduced vib on my bike. but maybe the rubber ones were just that worn out.
they are relativly solid so they should transfer more vibes, but i thought they made the ride more comfortable
