Default ape bushings

i have taller apes on my street bob i think there 15". they seem to be pretty spongey. i herd u can change the bushings. i believe i have the rubber bushings in now. herd u can run a more rigid bushing. what with this do? will it take that spongey free play away. it seems like they always work themselfs loose(the bars) i tighten the mounts and they still loosen up. has anybody changed to the solid bushings? thanks

Lot's of people have installed the poly bushings. I have them on mine. They will make your apes feel much 'tighter'... but they will also transmit quite a bit more vibration to your hands.

The way around that, is to install bar end weights internal to your bars. Increases the mass and therefore lowers the resonant frequency your bars will vibrate at.

There's a chrome cupped washer that fits on top... you don't see the bushings. Buy them from a reputable place... is your best bet. Don't need to spend 40 on Harley's stuff, but I would be wary of the cheap ones.
