I was looking at some foward controls today and I like thekuryakyn,I havent seen the pm ones but
I like the quality of their parts so far (friends have parts) Iwas wondering how hard they
were to put on, the dealer said i would need to take the inner and outer primary covers off, if so
how hard is that, and is it something I could do my self. I trynot to take it to dealer$$$$
If it is working, try a search on forward controls on the dyna forum. There have been alot of posts on this. to be honest, it is really not to hard to do. Again, there are alot of posts on this, what to do, not do and hints. good luck.
got mykuryakyn about 430 to day ,,,, after I took off the stock equitment took me about 45 mins to an hour to put the new ones on,, Yes the shifter shaft is tight, but used a rubber malletand it went right on, In truth I had more trouble getting the pin out of stock brake pedel and rod then I didputting the new ones on. Even put on floorboards to try for a while.
Easy job, got mine in about two weeks ago, read the instructions first day they came in, putinstructions somewhere safe, installed the forwards, still haven't found my somewhere safe spot where instructions are.
I do have to admit, I got done the job and had leftover parts, didn't know what they were for, or what to do with the original leftover shaft and linkage, posted here, before I got an answer, downloaded new instructions, leftover parts were OK.
