Any one have these on their bike? How do they sound? If anyone has heard these and the VH Short Shot Staggerds i'd be interested in hearing the comparison of the two.
Chip, thanks for the input. The VH Shortshots are my preferred option right now. I just saw some cheap used Samson Pomonas. I've always had VH exhausts on my previous 3 harleys and never had a complaint. Great quality, great sound and always look good too. Did the quiet baffles tone down the "tinny" sound of the short shots?

Exactly, lower tone w/o the tinny sound, but not really 'quieter' LOL! Takes a few miles for them to 'break-in', and after 1000 miles got my bike dyno tuned and that really woke 'em up. Two friends with jap baggers, after riding behind me, are out shopping this Spring for harleys! But usually I pull up the rear of the pack as a few friends, while they like the sound, don't always like riding behind me for any long distances. Around the neighborhood it isn't a problem if you throttle down.
i had big shots on my '03 (the non staggered kind without the power chamber) and they were very "tinny" sounding. My brother had short shots on his '02 Nightrain (again the un-staggered ones). he removed the baffles and put in some replacment baffles (BCT i think). That bike was extremely loud and you basically went temporarily deaf when riding behind him for any length of time. there is a fine line between sounding great and being loud and just being plain annoying!
I have them on my 06 Deuce and there OK as far as sound goes you get a deep rumble like roar not tinny at all only thing I don't like is getting burned on the upper pipe. there supposed to have heat shields but don't count on it theses big guys are hot. So far I burned too rain gear pants, jeans and my calf twice. Looking for a heat shield that works or I'll dump them for something else.
there is a set of BG3's on my bike now. They have a design flaw. The heat shields are welded to the exhaust pipe. Mine have developed a crack in the exhaust pipe from vibration. I am going with V&H pipes now. They have clamp-on heat shields.
