I just installed some short shots and they sound a little quieter at idle then my cycle shacks. And the don't have a metallic sound at all. They have a soft deep sound to them. I did strip one of the oxygen sensor ports and bungees threads as well But got it to install with the barely remaining threads left. But it is not inserted very well on the rear muffler.
I wondering if it should be this quiet or if the rear 02 oxygen censor is causing a leak and making it quiet.
I thought short shots were loud? When I get on the throttle it seems to be pretty loud sometimes.
Anyways I prefer this soft deep sound to the cycle shacks. I just wish it was as loud as the cycle shacks.
There was a pretty big drop in performance seat in pants wise as well.

Loud! I installed the quite baffle, for me sound much better, still loud, like 3db less but much better rubble sound. The quite baffle added more back pressure, so after tune it, lower RPM, better gas per millage and better performance.
Got a set on my bike.. Tried runnin them with no baffels..could'nt believe the trouble it caused I could'nt even ride the bike damn thing would surge so hard it would almost die then recover again... So I got a set of big city thunder baffels, they give the straight pipe sound but have enough back pressure.. Believe they even incresed my torque abit.. Seems to haul A$$ now.but they"re loud..
