Handlebar play
Are the handle bars supposed to have some play to them. When I push on them there is some give to them. Not much. It just got me to wondering. Maybe it's been too long of a winter and I'm jsut paranoid!

Yea that is normal for them to have some play. Stock form there are a set of rubber bushings on the top triple tree, you can swap them out for a set of polyurethene bushing from Dennis Kirk, Drag Specialties ones for just under $11. No need to drop more than that, all the others are still poly, just marketing for the price. I put a set on mine a couple months back when I put on the 6" risers and there is no play at all, very stiff and I have found the bike much easier to control into the corners with these than the rubber bushings

Yes that's very normal - was mentioning it to the GM at the local dealership and he took me over to 3 or 4 bikes on the showroom floor, and he tweaked them all real good, and they all moved, and some a lot! Poly bushings fixes it real easy, but you'll notice a bit more vibration, especially the higher you go with bars.
