I haven't tried the Meguires but I have had great results using that color matched wax on my blue and red bikes my black one doesn't take wax.

I have good luck with the Harley Glaze and Mcguire's no.6. Also use a microfibre cloth to finish it off. Will bring it to a deep shine. My 2 cents.

Scratches show up because of light reflecting from their rough edges. There are two common types of products to clean up scratches.

Some products hide scratches by filling them in. These products are only temporary fixes. The other type of product contains micro-abrasives which actually remove the scratches. The longer the product is worked in, the more these micro-abrasives break down. They are activated by heat and friction. They are not a wipe on - wipe off deal. If not being used with a buffer, they require LOTS of elbow grease.

I use Meguires paint cleaner to remove old wax as a first step. i then use Meguiars polish. This is one of the products with the mentioned micro-abrasives. My third step involves using 3M Perfect-it 3000 Ultrafina, also contains micro-abrasives, but finer than the polish.

The final step I use is Meguiars NXT wax, These products work great for routine maintenance.I use microfiber pads, a different clean pad for the application of each product, then a different clean microfiber towel for the removal of each product.

For deeper scratches, I use Meguiars Scratch-X and have achieve great results. After the Scratch-X, I go through the routine using the polish, then Ultrafina, then wax.

Each of the Meguiars products is readily available through auto parts chain stores. I had to go to an automotive paint supply business to purchase the 3M Ultrafina. It is not cheap, arounf $40.00 a quart.

Rookie Disclaimer: I am by no means a detailer, but have found this is what works for me.
