I am trying to remove the wires from the connector any tricks? I Have flipped the back part were the wire comes in up,but cannot get the pins to come out.Hd make a tool for the removal of these but im trying to avoid buying that.Any input would be appreciated.
Paper clip......push it in from the front (opposite end of wires) and up. Theres a tab that engages the plastic.....not alot of pressure needed. take your time and dont force anything. I use a piece of sand paper and sanded a little bevel on the end of the paperclip. Kinda of like a little wedge. Oh yeah, push the wire forward a little and then push the paperclip in, then pull wire out. Confusing I know but it is possible.

amp connectors
Have a look here.
this link should take you to page 11 of UNDER 50.

I used a long rather large guage sewing needle. I could feel the tip of the needleengage in the clip and the wire popped right out , no problems.
I tried a paper clip first but couldn't get it under the plastic clip.
Good luck.
thanks for that great link Mud - been wondering what those little bastards look like inside. Do you have any tips on crimping without the $200 tool on molex/deutsch/amp connectors. Looking to do some headlight wiring soon and want to use OEM connectors but don't want to spend $$$$ on a specialty crimper. Thanks.

++ on the paper clip for molex. Amp connectors I used a dental pick, but picks diameter too big for the molex so used the paper clip method. I think some stiff mechanics/safety wire will work well too.

Watie, Yeah, I built a crimping tool for those tiny little fittings
a couple weeks ago when I replaced my bars.
I took a bunch of pictures of the crimp tool,
as well as a similar explain on the Deutsch connectors.
