Default Fat Bob and windshield

If you had choice, would it be the quick disconnect HD unit or a Windvest?

I got the HD Essentials kit that came with the QD. It's a pain to get around the twin light. It alwaysdrags against the chrome. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Anyhow, I get a bad updraft with the shield on and it's in my line of sight. Can't adjust it down because of the headlight. I had the Windvest on my last bike, and will probably get another soon. Not sure what to do with the big quick detachable though.

I know what you mean about putting it on. What I do is just hold it against my belly and pull it to me. Kind of opens it up a little more and goes on without a problem. But as far as an updraft I don't have that problem. I would like to know what is causing that problem for you.

Tarton2, sure would like to see a picture of your Bob with the Windvest. I like that fender rack as well, were did you get it? I've seen a few others, but they didn't really fit the fender as well as the one you have does.

Thanks Blackhorse

The fender is a homemade item using s/s kitchen unit door handles $18 tack welded together .

Still have not got round to fitting the mounting brackets yet but hopefully soon.

Had my hands full with led tail light and rear puncture .... shop losing tyre !!!etc etc etc .

Here' a pic of the Windvest 14 x 14

Tartan2 that tears it for me, Windvest looks great. I'm going to order one tomorrow. I think I'll go with the 16 x 16 and lower it as far as possible. I'll post pictures when it it done. Very impressed with your custom rack. Good work!!
