I'm sure this has been asked before, however I need opinions on a set of pipes for my 07 Streetbob. The Bob has a 103" stage 2 kit. I know styles are a personal preference, and they aren't very similar, so I won't ask which style you like better. I'm considering the V&H Bigshots vs. Bassani Prostreets. I have several friends that run V&H, and I've been impressed with the fit, sound, etc. The Bassani's look amazing but I've never heard them other than Trotters set on Youtube. I'm leaning towards the Bassani's, but I need your opinion. Which will give the best performance gains, which do you prefer and why? Oh and the pipes will be chrome, whichever I decide to purchase. Thanks
My vote's for the Bassani's only because i'm biased. They're loud though, so if you're concerned about neighbors or have noise laws, you may consider the V&H instead.
I ordered mine thru the local dealer. You might be able to order them directly from Bassani, but i think the dealer got them out of one of their big books. You'll also want to consider heat shields. those things get really hot. they'll blister the inside of your thigh.
I just went through my dealer when I got my bob. I love the sound and the looks of my bigshots. Good luck. I think the bigshots go really well with the fxdb by the way.
Here's what you can do. Look for them on a site like gopartsdirect.com. I bought my Thunderheaders there. But you could also find them on Gopartsdirect and have Denniskirk.com price match. I had okay dealings with Gopartsdirect but some people have had bad experiences with them, thus the price matching.
