Can't take it anymore!!
Rats, bought my Fat Bob last Nov, came in Dec. and had the dealer do a little work on it and they still have it. The last thing it needs for them to finish is a set of V&H black short shots. Seemed simple enough at the time, expected them early Jan and have been put off ever since. I think it is time to pick out something different. Does Thunderheader make a unit to fit the new Fat Bob? I had the engine worked on and when they put it back together, I had them put the black rocker boxes on it. As a result, I'd like to stick with a black exhaust. Although I have been considering a set of Rineharts with the black tips.

I'm about out of time, I need something I get quickly and just bolt on. The Bassani pro streets, if I can get them for the Fat Bob in black that would be an excellent idea!! Thankds for reminder on Bassani Coastrider.

I'm out of time. I need a set of pipes I can bolt on and ride, now. Spring has sprung, it is a lousy time to get anything done, like ceramic coatings. I can see sending the pipes off and starting another wait. I should have taken advice like this in Dec.

Not too many options out there right now. Get some chrome ones, put them on, enjoy it all year, then coat them next winter. At least you'll be riding it and not waiting. It may not be exactly what you want, but don't settle for something else. You'll only be disappointed in the long run.

Here's another idea to think about - get the chrome V&H SS and paint the shields with high temp paint - ought to hold up for a season, and if you want, then get them coated next winter. And just maybe you won't need to! A lot cheaper and pretty quick solution IMO.

just ride without the sheilds until there coated a week max thats what i did when i had my shortys coated

I really think the black Shorties are a little on the overrated side IMHO.
No way I would wait as long as some guys have been waiting for them and paying more money to boot just cause they are black.
