Just curious if anyone has floorboards on your street bobs?? The problem I'm having is my legs keep blowing off the pegs when I'm going down the highway and I gotta pull my legs back in and it starts to suck real quick. I already have forward controls. I'm wondering if maybe my pegs are to shortand maybe need longer ones or maybe even thought about some floorboards. Anyone have any ideas??
I'm thinking of doing this to my fatbob. Reaching around the airfilter to the forward controls is great. But those longer rides of 100+ miles tend to take a toll.
I just put forward controls on a few weeks ago. I like the position of them, but I had the same problem with my feet. At first I thought it might just take getting used to, then I got on the highway, and it felt like I was struggling to keep my feet on them at high speeds.
Next day I ordered Heel rests, put my mid foot pegs back on too(but have them flipped up, maybe I'll use them on long trips),but with the heel rests,it's just like having footboards, but without the solid clutter. Got back out on the highway and I'm one happy camper again.
I am 5-6 and I went with forwards which i like but my right leg seemed to struggle a tad with the huge HD a/c. I recently installed BootDR Mini-boards and they are pretty cool looking and do the trick. I was surprised at the quality of chrome and how solid they are. I got them thru j and p. Note: I had to use a kuryakyn 1 1/4 peg extender because the boards when folded up would hits the pipes. They work great with these
