A friend of mine from work wants to get back to riding and wanted a harley but he's strapped for cash.So he bought himself a 1993 dynawide glide which has the Evo i believe. What can he expect from this model bike good and bad.he realizes its an old bike but it looks and sounds like its in very good shape.Plus they are giving it a complete walkthru before he gets the bike.thanks
Treat the tank for moisure. Check the fluid lines. Check the plugs for gunk. Maybe pull the carb and look for debris. Check the frame for excessive rust and weld cracks. If it looks good and sounds good, just basic maintenace stuff. Those early 90 motors are rumored to run through just about anything.
Seeing SgtThump's '92 in such great shape I have high hopes for your friend. He can expect a great looking ride with clean styled lines and a little extra leg room. The Wide Glide is a truly impressive bike.
If the bike has been regularly ridden, dont worry about any of that crap. Changing out the cam berring is the only thing I would worry about if the bike has a decent amount of miles on it.
Why dont you post this on the EVO forum! Lots of good EVO guys there that dont read this forum!
