I didn't see it mentioned, and don't know if you thought of doing it or not. I am assuming your Fuelpak just plugs in with connectors, as does my TFI. I would unplug all the connectors and shoot them with contact cleaner, then put them back together with dielectric grease, this includes your ground wire, also.

There are multiple sensors includind a cold start and idle circuit the enrichens your fuel automatically, similar to todays fuel injection cars, there may be one sensor thats off just off just a sillymillivolt or two and recking havoc with your idle and run circuit.
