alright, here's what i've concluded...i only get the proverbial "clunk" with the first initial abrupt stop..... now i know this issue has been beaten to death, but for some reason, my clunk doesn't appear to be coming from my steering neck, nor my forks, no my tank, nor my kickstand, nor my motor mount.... it seems like it's coming from the wheel itself....maybe the rotor or caliper or pads?
....has anyone else concluded this?
'cause i gotta tell yah, i'm feeling more and more confident it's coming from the hub area.... but that doesn't make sense.....???
Have someone straddle the bike and hold the front break and rock it front to back. put your finger in one of the float holes the see if you can feel it move.
If it does theres your sound. Nothing you can do but ignore it or replace the rotor. I doubt it is really a problem if this is your issue.
