5'10" and forward controls for sure ,but I'm thinking of mids just to change my foot positions once in a while on the longer trips!

I, like jwb47, am kicking myself for getting forward controls. Any one here want to swap my forward controls for their mids? Or better yet did you change them out and have the mids in a box in youre garage? I'll pay for 'em. Heck, I'll ride across country to pick them up! HD wants upwards of $400 for the parts....killing me

Forward controls but I put mid-pegs on. This is backwards from tradition, but it works ffor me.

I had a Sportster with mid controls and felt cramped. I recently bought a 2009 Fat Bob with forward controls and love the positioning. I'm 6' 5" and 230lbs though

It is really whats comfortable and Safe for you. I like the forward controls had them on my 1200c and now on my FXDF.5 FT 4 140LBS.

I'm 5'8 200 lbs. I have mid controls but didn't like them at first. but I'm getting more use to them. the highway pegs seems way out there for me which I figure is about where the fwd controls would be located. wish there was an option for controls somewhere in between the two places. that would make me Happy.

I'm 5'10 200lbs... i have forwards and like them, but I like the mids too...it's what i always had.
One reason I like mids is the more in control feeling....and if you ever need to jump up out of that seat to get off the bike, forwards won't allow it. Even when i see a big bump comin i like to raise up out of the seat and with no mids, it's a little tough.

I like the forwards though just crusin around town. But if i go on a long hiway ride, two things happen. One, my lower back starts to hurt, and two, at 70 or 80 my feet want to blow off the forwards. To cure both of those, I put my feet back on the passenger pegs. Works like a charm if you're solo....

I would love to have dual controls, and think it is quite possible. Mids and forwards... I haven't taken the time (don't have it now) to rig it up...but i think it could work.

Only thing I wouldn't like about mids is a possible dragging issue in hard turns.

I made the dealer find what seemed to be the only Fat Bob with mids in all of SoCal. I love them. The only issues I have is that the brake pedal scrapes on the heat shield and I do want to stretch out after seven hours in the saddle. I like the idea of highway bars, but hate the way they look.

I have an '08 with mids and want to go to forward controls. I have searched high and low for some decent looking forwards and can't find anything. I HATE the HD forward kits for the Dyna series. They just look cheap and cheesy.

Anyone have a line on some cool looking after market forward controls for the Fat Bob?
