Default Not to happy, what to do?

I replaced my old ugly *** rubber cross over fuel line on my Dyna Screaming Eagle with a new factory stainless one. Pain in the *** for one guy to do but got it on. Looks good except for the fact that the line seems to be about 1/8" too short. The tank is silver and now I see where the paint ended with the factory paint job. So I have a nice stainless line then an off colored brown and then the silver of the tank spout. I think it looks like crap!!! What to do? Get the spouts painted some how? Or see if I can get a longer stainless fuel line? Should I bust the dealers ***** or what? I'll try and send pics tomorrow. HELP?

Post a photo. That might help better understand what we are trying to fix.

Just get a longer stainless line...or a stainless sleeve for the rubber one.

Measure the one which you have......call up your local dealer, and ask them the length of the same hose which they should have in stock. You may have received a hose which did not meet spec.

Respects,
Ed

You can buy chrome fittings to go over the angled tubing that comes out of the gas tank and over the end of the crossover fuel line. HD has one and I've seen one in another catalog but can't remember which one, Kury, Kirk, or J&P

I have the same problem as do my brother. Seems that the fitting bottom out before it covers up the unpainted area. Very crappy in my eyes. I have bought a replacement braided hose that came with chrome hose clamps that will look 100% better. FOund mine on ebay but youcan google it and find a bunch out there.

If you think it looks bad now - wait until the exposed area starts to rust like mine has done.
Next time my tank is near empty - I'm taking that piece of crap off and throwing it in the trash.
Very poor design.

I know they look good but my dealer talked me out of putting them on, said they tend to leak. Would like to see the chrome angle pieces, if anyone has a link, I will research in the mean time.
