i am trying to figure this out.it is getting to the point where it is retarded.i am wondering if the v&h fuel pak has proven to work out.it seems to be the easiest one out there.everybody says the download from hd is crap.the pc3 wants to eliminate the o2 sensors.the sert you need a damn dyno and a computer.im almost seeing no point.i thought the epa would be the same with bikes as they are with cars.i dont see cars go get programming when they get air filters and exhausts put on them.im so confused it is giving me a headache.i just like many others want a good sounding bike that runs normal.if i want to go fast ill buy a race car.i have the slip ons they sound good but i want real pipes.all this is a good thing for the aftermarket and bad for us.its sad we pay all this money for a motorcycle and we cant get it easy.got off subject sorry.really i want to know if the v&h fuel pak is working out.i figure if i go with their pipes the matching programmer would work out the best.for the reasons stated above i dont want nor am i interested in these other programmers.im to the point just run whatever burn it up we have warranty anyhow.keep the stock pipes and put them on before you send the bike to the dealer.
Here's my answer and offer for additional info via PM from one of my posts yesterday:
I had great luck with my V&H Ovals and the Fuelpak. I think the reason you don't hear much about the Fuelpak is because the Fuelpak only supports V&H and a few other pipes. With so many different pipes out there, SERT & PCIII cover more applications. If you are not going to do any further mods to your engine I would wholeheartedly recommend the Fuelpak WITHOUT the download. It is the least expensive and simplest to install and program. You can always go to the SERT later as needs and finances allow.
BUT YOU MUST DO SOMETHING NOW!
With the increased air intake of the Stage 1 you will run into troubles QUICKLY if you do not do something IMMEDIATELY to modify your fuel delivery.

P.S. Feel free to PM me with any Fuelpak questions.
Good Question! on my mind also. Thanks for the response Primo.
Italiano, I've been reading as much as I can find on this and right now I'll be going w/the V&H pipes and fuel pac. Seems like the best route, esp. on the 06s.
thanks for the info i guess yall can sense my frustration.i think i will go with the fuel pak.i am wondering how much did you get yours for and did you go through vance and hines or another source?
Italiano, this is what i did i have the 06 street bob i put PC usb, se a/c, seII slip-ons, and map M811-004. and wow its great for me, the dealer was shocked how good it performed and sounded. they kind of lead me in the direction of PC.
I have the V&H BSS on my 05 WG and the Fuel Pak and I am happy so far. With the snow and cold here in SW Ohio, I really have not got to ride it much since installing it. I paid $279 from Dennis Kirk, had it in 3 days....installed within an hour. Only problem is space, connector is pretty tight under the seat...but I will work on that.
you said you got the fuel pak from dennis kirk is that a harley dealer?279 seems like a good price.i wonder if a dealer around my way would have it at that price?
Try http://mandmcycles.com They will give you 20-25% off list. V&H only sells at list. Dennis Kirk is another online store not directly affiliated with H-D.
You may also want to check out http://www.americanclassicmotors.net/ they sell the fuel pak for $199, the part # for the Dyna is 61005, they are awesome to deal with and have an excellent rating on ebay. Got my Big Radius from them. Fuel pak is the next thing on my wish list.
HD has a racing tuner for 500 big ones but it has unlimited downloads so if you get bigger cam or head work or 96ci kit you will not need to get another download from hd
