I thought Denim looked cool as hell when I bought it but the paint on my back fender was ruined on day two when I tried to do something really stupid.I bungeed a soft cloth bag to the back fender and rode to work 30 min later it had worn a shiny spot on it that would not go away.It has since been re painted with Krylon Semi Flat Black which I think is probably just as durable as the stock finish.I still think it looks OK but if I had it to do over again I'd get the vivid black.
If you want to ride and not clean then denim is the paint to get ...
I knew there was another reason I got the black denim. Agree with all about easy to clean - haven't washed it yet, 4200 so far, just a nice wipe down with some windex and microfiber, and some windex or simple green on the shiny stuff, and she looks almost good as new. I look forward to seeing the fading.
