tyre noise
I have noticed lately a noise, it seems to be coming from my front tyre.
The tyres are fairly new Metzeler 880 marathons.
The noise gets louder when running across smooth glazed parts of the road. The sound is like a deep buzzing noise, quite loud. It reminds me of the noise my old 4x4 used to make.
I checked the pressure, lowered it and raised it but settled on 32 PSI
These tyres have done less than 5000 m and still appear in very good condition.
Any ideas?
What pressure do you guys run?

I have a 98 Dyna Convertible and have been running the Metzeler 880's also. I also get the same kind of "humming" from the front tire, only when running on extremely smooth (glass smooth or glazed) road surfaces. Seems strange to me too. I run the Metzeler 880 on the rear also and don't hear any kind of humming from there. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

The thing is, it has only just started happening.
There definately wasn't any noise when the tyres were new and like I said they only have 3000m on them
