I stand corrected, I thought you were referring to the other type as used for years in the past. Last I spoke to Techlusion they didn't have this unit in production for the 06 dynas.
I just purchased the TFI/DFO last night. After modifying my stock pipes to accomodate a pair of thunder monsters I did notice a bit of grumbling on decel, so this should richen things up a bit eh? I'll report back once it gets here and I install it. I'm hoping it goes like a raped ape when I'm done!
It's a pretty good unit for what it is, You have enough adjustments in it to make an overly rich condition with the wrong settings. Hard to beat it for bang for the buck.
OK, gents. My 1340ST is installed as of this morning. It's raining, so I can't get out there and start dialing in anything just yet. However, I wouldn't mind getting some feedback on what settings you ended up with (06 Dynas only). I'm running your basic Stage 1 setup right now with SEIIs, SE A/C and the Stage 1 D/L. George at RevTech recommended 4, 2.5, 2.5, 4 for this setup - at least to begin with. Are any of you guys with similar setups close to this?
Well, I'm running the BSS instead of SEs, but my settings are close.
I'm running at 2.5, 3.5, 3.5, 4
Wonder why they told you to set the green mode to 4? The instructions I have say that the green adjustment is "preset and not adjustable phor the Dyna models". When I phired mine up the phirst time, it came up at 2.5, which was what I was advised to set it too also. Lately I have seen a number of people running the green at 4.
The instructions I have say that mode 1(green) is the cruise adjustment.
The cruise portion is generally handled by the O2 controller. This adjustment will only vary slightly from our base settings. It can primarily help during warm-up if you're having lean issues.
I have a revtech DFO on my 05 ultra with S&S510g's A/C Screamin eagle slip ons and I am satisfied with the performance I am getting from it. I have also purchased a SERT for my Street BOB ( late May delivery), my take on your situation is if you are going to do simple mods now and go further later you would be better off buying the SERT now and doing a simple download for your pipes and A/C now instead of spending the money for a DFO and then spending it again for a SERT which you may or may not even be able to purchase next winter. My sert software has downloads for stage 1 on it already. This is my plan for my Bob and I hope it works out as I plan on 95 inch with heads and cams later in the summer.

I've been leaning toward the SERT for my simple stage 1 mods but my mechanic is pitching the DFO as being just as effective for less money for these simple mods. When I do a 95 build next winter perhaps then get the SERT then he said. Thoughts? You can check RevTech site for more 411 if you need it. (It sells for about 200.00)
