I have the flamed detachable compact winshield on my 05 WG with the docking hardware. Really only use it to ride to work due to I leave early in the morning. Hate it on the ride home. Nice to cut down on the rain and wind but I ride mainly without it....I like it and would use it on long trips probably.

I have a smoked compact with the quick detachable clamps. This works pretty good. I have the drag style handlebars and I like the look of my ride better with out the windshield but, have to admit that it makes some of my spring and fall rides more enjoyable.

I run one on my 05 FXDI. My commute to work is 1 1/2 hours one way and it has really made a difference, especially in the cold weather

Thanks...1993 K2500HD, tore down to the cab and frame, replaced most everything, new 280hp GM Goodwrench long block, Edelbrock aluminum intake, aluminum water pump, and headers, MSD wires, Accel plugs, took tranny apart, installed shift kit and new parts, new paint, cowl hood, fenders, new tires and wheels, 213,000 miles, thought I would keep it for awhile. 15 mpg but fun to drive!

I have the quick release windshield on mine with the smoked glass. The 3rd day I had my bike I got hit in the face and stung by a bee at 50 miles per hour.....The windshield became an easy decision.
