Has anyone re-packed their quiet baffles? If so, did you use Vance and Hines packing or aftermarket packing. Also, how many miles does the packing normally last?
I have not repacked the V&H baffles, however, I do own a set of quiet baffles and the packing looks just like the kind used to repack dirt bike exhausts. I have repacked several dirt bike exhaust's and it is very simple. If V&H doesn't sell the packing material, you can go to Dennis Kirk or whomever you choose, to purchase the packing material. A small amount of material and a few laps of tape to hold it in place should have you back on the road in no time.

That is what I thought. Seems that packing would not last for more than about 500mi or so. Not much there. I have dirt bike packing and was not sure if there was a difference. Im gonna go ahead and use that. They definetly have a deeper sound with fresh packing. Thanks for the feedback.
