Ok, so it's O dark thirty, I'm on my way to work. The freeways empty so I'm movin and about half way through a set of fast sweeping "S" turns it just dies. The lights are still on and I pull over to the side of the road and for lack of a better idea I hit the starter switch and it fires right up, and runs fine the rest of the way into work.Like I said it was dark and now I'm at work so I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but any ideas? The bikes still under warranty but typically when you have an issue like this unless you can reproduce it there isn't much a dealer tech is going to do for you.
Sounds like your gas pump didn't come back on and pressurize the line until after you hit restart. I'd check for a loose connection somewhere.

I have had the same thing happen a few times. I also have an 06 Street Bob. I had it looked at at the dealer and of course they could not reproduce it. But I did notice that after one of the scheduled maintenances it went away. So maybe they tightened up what ever was loose. I have read here I beleive that it could be the battery ground strap. So I would look there first. I hope that this helps. Keep us informed.
Ed,
You didn't hit the KILL switch by accident in the dark, did you??
Hopefully the weren't able to lean it over far enough to activate the "tilt" button.
I would also check all the grounds, may have been a "friendly" warning.
Not sure... my bike was running a bit rought in the begining of the week tossed some sea foam in and clean it right up! by the way thanks for the P pad works great!!!
