I've been running AMSOIL since the 5K change (have 20K+ now). Changed to Severe Gear in the tranny just at the 20Kchange andit made a significantdifference in the shifting noise.

I plan on starting amsoil at 1k, 20-50 crank, 75-90 trany, 10-40 primary. Sticking with the HD filter tho, don't need any problems from them if something goes wrong down the line. From everything I have read, off the shelf filters at auto parts stores just aren't up to par for HD....have not seen anything about the amsoil ones so not switching until I do.

There's not enough price difference to lure me away from genuine H-D filters.I only use 2-3 a year anyway.
