I plan on buying a Fat Bob soon. I would like to do the sheet metal exchange program for the California Kid Paint Set - Black with Green to Blue Fade Flames. Has anyone done this before? What was your experience (good or Bad)? Thanks.
I'm doing my paint myself... I'm on my 3rd try, actually... so this is probably not for the weak of heart. I found on ebay a second set of tins and started painting them last summer... I'm not really all that happy with the resulting paint job, so I'm doing it again. lol. If I had the money, I'd send them out for custom paint, truth be told. I love the california kid theme tho, it'll look SHARP on your bob!
Thanks, the painter knew what he was doing. Quoted me $1200 for the tins stripped to bare metal, and the plastic lowerrear fender, then discounted $100 because he didn't run into any problems with it. Stand up guy.
I got tired of all the copper on the anniversary bike.
