I have a custom paint set on order for my 13 sg. Talked to parts guy and also called Harley got same answer from both I'm out of luck getting paint from harley for my inner faring and tour-pac. Anybody have any ideas on how to get paint code? Right now I'm thinking I am going to have to settle for one of the paint scan match things.
The paint set is called "smokey gold", the part # for a street glide is 95771-13DRY. The color I'm tring to match is the base color of black and fine gold metallic.
can not help you with the exact paint code but can relate my experience with matching paint from Harley. I too was trying to match paint and could not get the paint codes. I ended up purchasing a touch up paint kit for my paint set(approx cost $52) and it contained the touch up bottle(s) with the paint codes.
My bet is the black and fine gold metallic is the basic vivid black base coat and the fine gold metallic is in the clear coat with gold metallic mixed in.
i was trying to match white gold pearl and the white was a basic white and the gold pearl was the clear coat with gold pearl mixed in.
