Thinking 'bout giving her more of a rake down the road? I definately don't want to go with an 18*. Kind of stuck between the 9* & 14*? Do you think the 14* is a little too much? Is the 9" not enough to make that much of a difference in looks? Pics please? Opinions?
I want to do the same thing on mine!!! I was thinking the 14 would look kinda weird, but I REALLY like the look of the 9... Quite a bit of dough to fork out, but MAN, what a difference it would be!!!
I have the 14 degree, 8 over kit on my 07 Super Glide.
Mine is #99 in the Harley Gallery on the AME website, more current pics in my gallery.
Its a great product, If ya ever wanna go back to stock you could.

Not that I think the 14* would look "weird", I just think that the 14* belongs on a bike with a little more "chopper-stuff" on it than just a rake kit. I think you gotta do something to the rear end too to make the 14* kit "flow" with the rest of your bike.
I think that our FXDC's would look sick with just the 9* kit...especially with a drag bar & bullet headlamp that I'll have soon. Ya, there are a bit pricey at almost $2G's...but what a difference in appearance, huh?
See, that 14 on yours looks sweet! Maybe it was just the 14 on the Fat Boy that looked goofy. (foot in mouth now ). Buuuut, it honestly does look good on yours...
...I think becauseslipstrmhas that custom king-n-queen style sissy bar back there...that's what I meant about tying in the rear to the front if going with a 14* rake or more. On a big rake like that you've gotta do something to the rear as well to tie it all in...
Guy up the road installed one and likes it alot. Only thing is he had trouble putting is windsheild back on because of the raked front end. Means alot at high speeds and bug time, or even just long distance at 65 +. Might be able to adapt somethng. Looks good though.
Chuck
For the long trips I throw my standard HD clip on windshield on it, it was originally for the narrow glide front end, but there plenty of give in it to easily clip it on to my Wide Glide now.
I had problems with it buffeting real bad when I had the original front end on it (too straight up) with theadded rake its really good.
Looks pretty decent too.
