ok, i'll be quick on this. My rear tyre is about to wear out. I'd like to know the + and - about dunlop screaming eagle tyre on dry or wet. I've been thinking about avon and metzeler, but it's quite difficult to get them. HD dealer say the dunlop SE have softer compound. But what do you guys say?
thanks! i dont know if some one has posted like this one before, sorry if it's a repost.
The SE Dunlops are nice they look good and have great traction. The down side is you can only get them at a Harley dealer so they're hella expensive.Metzlers are good tires but they run narrower than Dunlops in the same size so if you don't want skinnier than stock tires get a size or two wider.
yep, thx for the links man. i know metz are nice, have more grip than others. my rear is 150/80/16, and actually was looking at changing it to metz 160/70/16, but it's not that easy to get the metz or avons..have to wait for like a month or so..i guess i'll have to go with dunlop SE, at least they suck less than the OE dunlop, they tend to slip on wet roads
but i dont know if 170 would fit the rim or the swing arm..?
i read on some website and this guy says SE dunlops have good traction, but he hasnt tried on wet roads though. yes, i can only buy them @ HD dealer. So they're quite good u say? ..hm..okay...thx
