How does everyone like the Fatbob?
Handles well and very predictable. You can change direction mid corner & banked over without too much fuss and chicks dig it.I'll Say no more 'cept...GET ONE

handling? I had a 05' 1200C prior. Loved it. This one handles awesome. The 1200 was easier to maneuver at low speed like turning into parking spots.
Speed? Want speed buy a rice burner. I have had it to around 105 but that was not what I bought it for. Cruises great in 6th gear at 75-85 on the highway.
take-off/power? You can smoke the rear tire if you need. I prefer not to. Much too expensive! Mine dynoed at approx 74HP and 85TQ with the below mods.
Good luck in your decision. Don't think you could go wrong with the Fatbob.
i planned on a dyna ever since i used to ride with a bro who had a wide glide shovie.
for me, the dyna is the most unique of all the h-d families and the fatbob is the most unique of the dynas.
i don't think there will be a whole lot of em either.
It also has a unique look to it. It really stands out in a crowd. Mine is Vivid Black and I have powder coated a number of items trying to darken it down more. The Bob looks much better is the darker colors...I don't care to much for the red, blue etc. The Stage 1 upgrade helped alot!
so what your saying is the night-rod special isnt special at all its just a v-rod with black bbq grill paint on it.
"Special" is a marketing thing...
The largest substantive difference is the stock exhaust (which is gone now) and the handle-bars, which are easily changed. I think that goes for most models in most families, where the biggest differences are cosmetic w/ a few moderately substantive differences.
Like my guess is that that 2>1>2 that comes stock on the fat bob probably produces a little more power than the duals on the other dynas, and this only makes a difference if you going to keep them. The rest of the differences are ergonomics (which can easily be changed). All the Dynas are FXDs with addons (or takeoffs), w/enough money you could get to anyone of them from an FXD base, Harley is making you a deal[/i] by selling it dressed up in a few different ways. Thereâs maybe one or two models a year spread out through the families that would be impossible/nearly impossible to create from the base model.
Once you've picked the family/riding stlye you want, go with whatever you think looks good.
