I bought my first bike, a 08 Super Glide in September and like many others, find the stock pipes lacking in style and sound. I am trying to decide between going with slip-ons or a whole new exhaust system.I have been looking at the V&H short shots versus rush slip-ons. Also,a friendgave me his SE stage 1 intake since he up-graded to a roland and sands intake. The dealer says it will fit my bike. Ultimately, I would like to improve performance andhave a deep, throaty sound, bolt on the intakeand not spend too much money. From you more expierenced guys, what are your opinions?
Thanks,
Ryan

Either option will give you more sound. 2 different looks on 2 different ends of the cost spectrum. Pick the look you want within your budget and go with it. If you add the SE air cleaner, be sure to do something to modify the fuel mixture to compensate for the higher air flow (lean condition) such as a fuel manager (Fuelpak)or tuner (PCIII, SERT).
I went with Sampson Slashers, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and the Terry's Components Terminal Velocity 2 tuner. On my other bike I did the PCIII.. this Terry's Components tuner is by far the best tuner I have seen. There is no need for a dyno tune because this thing is constantly tuning itself to maintain the optimal A/F ratio that my tech set for it. My bike runs really nice with no issues.

crazeehorse, you're the ONLY person I know who has installed this. My mechanic suggested it to me but I didn't have enough real-world feedback to go on, so I just went for the PCIII.
I can't help but wonder if I erred too far on the side of caution.
Do me a favor and tell me more about your experiences with the Terminal Velocity II.
Installation? Where'd you stick it?
Cost? Did you pay MSRP?
Does it really do everything it claims? If so, I might consider a switch.
