I have 4 rules that I always try to ride by.
1. All cars are trying to kill you, never trust them or their turn signals even if they are looking directly at you.
2. Never drive any faster in a given circumstance than you can stop (I just broke this one and paid dearly).
3. Never get distracted or look in any direction other than to the front for more than 1 second.
4. If you’re in a hurry, drive your car.

i read all the posts i can about accidents....i've been in one....i've witnessed a deadly one ....i watch them on youtube
i force myself to remind my brain of these things because it keeps me vigilant and conscientious and not so infected with stupid that i'll do something ...well.....stupid, that could easily result in the lose of life or limb
my daughter doesn't need that....my wife doesn't need that....and i sure as hell don't need it
