Yesterday, I whipped around a corner and heard this nasty sound. When I got home, I checked my exhaust and sure enough, the lower Rinehart had a big scrape in the black end piece. No one can see it but me and I'll touch it up, just because. What bugs me is now I can't ride like I've always ridden without wondering what's gonna scrape next.[:@]
You probably should take those 11 inch shocks off to avoid any further damage! Since you are a fellow forum member I will take those off your hands so as to avoid the financial loss associated with unused parts, go ahead and pm me......................cou9ar
I have the same problem with my Thunderheader at least now I know Rineharts are not the answer.Honestly I scraped my stock exhaust with the stock shocks on the way home from the Dealer the day I bought it.All bikes have thier weaknesses, cornering clearance is the Dynas.
you would have dragged it even without the lowering shocks on it. my stock exhaust dragged before i lowered it, thunderheader dragged too. ended up rerouting the frt tube over the cam chest cover and raising the whole pipe up. now i only drag the primary cover on the left side.
its the primary that bothers me,, i have hit three times now despite trying really hard to ease round left handers,, definitely not lowering the Bob but i also dont really fancy the idea of longer shox, so i am thinking of some kind of replaceable slider..
