Man that sucks! Hope you insurance company takes care of you.
I guess it's hard to see bikes when your in a cage. I was at a motorcycle swap meet in Birchrun MI last sunday and a guy pulled a left turn right in front of a bagger in the parking lot! The guy on the bike gets stopped and SCREEMS Can You See ME NOW!!! Don't think the cager even heard that. Funny thing is didn't see no cell phone or big gulp must have just been an azzhole wantingto get into the swap before all the good stuff was gone.
Hit and run is a criminal offense everywhere in the USA, as far as I know. Good thing it was on video.
If the driver is not aware they hit your bike, then they should not be driving. Odd how people run over things and don't know they done the deed. Idiots even run over other human beings and don't realize it, until the law shows up[:@].
Far as I know when you hit another vehicle that is unattended, the law requires you to leave your insurance info and contact # at the scene, if you cannot locate the owner.
Had similar incident happen little over a month ago except I stood there and watched my boss back in to mine. Nothing I could do except stand and watch, he came inlaughing when asked what was so funny he said I didnt see your bike. I said how did you not see it whenyou were parked next to itan hour ago. Then he got pissed off and blamed it on me said I shouldn't have parked it there and that he didn't put a scratch on it. Not a scratch but alot of scratches, bent, the fender, bent fork stop on lower tree 900.00 later he still owes303.00 doesn't want to pay sayssince he wrote pd in full repairs on 08 bike repairs he owes no more. So off to small claimswe go. Moral of my story call insurance company , don't try and be nice and let them pay for damages should of beat his *** when he laughed about it and tried to blame it on me.Good luck on finding theblind guy.

Wow man........ Why did you accept a cheque that had paid in full written on it? You might have a tough time getting the rest out of him. Trust me, I've watched Judge Judy before!
I agree with dougsdyna, hope this guy at least has to pay the damages on your bike.
had two very similar incidents,
first at a gas station where an elderly woman drove over my brother's motorcycle ( which was parked about a foot away from mine) when she knocked his bike over and couldn't go any further instead of checking if there is a dead body or something stuck under her car she just gasses it and is now doing a smoke show on top of his bike.....holy crap........ couldn't believe my eyes
the second was when my night train was a day old my girlfriends grandmother backed into it trying to get into her garage , same thing....when she felt resistance she just gave it more gas .my bike was pointed away from her rear bumper , so she just pushed the bike about six feet while four of us were screaming at her to stop. my right rear directional lens popped off and scratched ( no big deal, I put it right back on and never replaced it) she had a scrape from her bumper and down the side of the car that was worth about five hundred bucks.
her husband was actually pmad at me!!! I just said what if that was a person??????
Honestly didn't even look at bottom of check except to make sure he signed it, just to pizzed off at time. Did talk to 2 of my attorneys showed all papers I have est.,check, and copies of everything we gave theguy, and they said just because he wrote pd in full doesn't make it a closing of any kind contract. Original receipt doesn't say pd in full and until all work is completed still is only a estimate. Would've been easier to listen to wife than try and be a dope and think I have to work with this guy, now I no longer work there. Went back old job to be assistant manager cuz couldn't stand to work with the ****.
