Be careful about your battery
Just put in an aftermarket battery. It's supposedly a good quality AGM, well I have higher compression, big bore, and a high torque starter. The second time I went to start the bike it actually melted and internally shorted thus opening the battery circuit. I exchanged it for another one and it did the exact same thing! I put my HD battery back in and the bike fires up nice. I'm going to HD this morning to get a genuine HD battery. Just a suggestion but Stay away from these batteries if they can fail that easily and leave you stuck with an open circuit. You won't be able to even pop start it....

Glad you got the problem fixed. When I got my FLHRCI at the Stealership...the guy in service told me that they get alot of new bikes in with bad battteries...stock HD batteries that is. Having said that I've never (knock on wood) had a battery issue ...except the one I caused myself. I used to take mine out every year and bring it in the house and charge it...bad idea...I now have battery tender cables on it.
