Question fellas?, I have found a set of smooth profile wheels off of a 2008 softail, will the rear wheel w/tire (200-55-17) fit my 2006 fxdwgi w/stock shocks and swingarm. I seem to think that it will and "hogpro" has a pic of an 06 w/ 200 tire and their wheels and it looks to be stock. anyone tried or seen this done... thanks
I heard the widest you could go without modification was 180. But that WG on Hogpro does look stock except for the wheels. I wonder how the stuffed all that tire under there and not hit the wiring.

Posters on this board have put a 200 on a stock Dyna, maybe they will check in.

I hope so. I would love to put a 200 on my Wide Glide if it did not require any other modifications.
Thanks "airborne350g" and "coltsfan", I checked and double checked and measured my bro-n-laws 06 nite train and we both think that it will. Visually it looks like a simple swap and with having stock length shocks I don't see fender clearence to be an issue, it will be completely full but should still have wiggle room....
BTW airborne350g what exhaust setup is that on your wide glide?,it looks sweet.....

Thanx, They are Vance and Hines Big Shot staggereds... And I love them. A little tricky to get on as they have a cross over to equal out the preasure in both pipes so you do not loose low end torque.
Once you get the Softail wheel on let us know how it went. If it goes smoothly I just might have to follow your lead.
